As part of their history project, Class Two had an exciting day at the Fitzwilliam museum in Cambridge discovering and learning about life in Ancient Egypt.

After visiting the Fitzwilliam Museum, Class 2 set about finding out how archaeologists work and how they find out about the past, particularly ancient civilisations such as the ancient Egyptians. They had a day of activities including deciphering a hieroglypic message, searching for buried artefacts and putting together broken artefacts, discovering how papyrus was made and writing on a piece, exploring the pyramid looking closely at the pictures, hieroglypics and eyes on the wall and discussing their findings. Enjoy the photos!
